Dunklin Fire establishes Public Information Officer

The Dunklin Fire Protection District has announced the addition of a new position, through in-house promotion. The position, “Public Information Officer” (PIO) will allow the District to more efficiently address the citizens, and media with important information regarding emergency incidents, safety news, upcoming community events, etc.

Chief Gary McClain announced the promotion on July 9th 2007.

Promoted was firefighter Dustin Blake. Dustin Blake has served with the Dunklin Fire Protection District for 5 years.
Dustin Blake is excited about the promotion, and is looking forward to working closely with the citizens and media to relay information about the District.
This position is in addition to the regular duties of a Firefighter, and not the elimination of a firefighter position. Captain Dustin Blake will still respond to emergency incidents, provide the community with firefighter services, but in addition will provide PIO duties.
