Santa is stranded on Dunklin’s Rooftop to help benefit Toys for Tots November 23rd 2007

The Dunklin Fire Protection District has partnered with the 2007 St. Louis Toys for Tots Campaign.

Our Fire District will be hosting a First Annual “Rescue Santa From The Roof” Community Interaction Day on Friday November 23rd 2007 beginning at 8:00 a.m. located at Dunklin Fire Station #1 located at 1987 State Road Z in Pevely.

This will be the “kick-off” day to our Toys for Tots Collection Campaign. Santa will be stranded on the roof of our Fire House! The only way to get Santa rescued from the roof is if we are able to get enough donations of new, unwrapped toys to fill a fire truck!

We hope our citizens will stop by for a day of fun at the fire house. We plan on having the Pevely Police there to do a limited amount of child fingerprinting and other informative information, and refreshments, firehouse safety presentations, firehouse tours, and other fun events scheduled.

We are planning on running the donation program at our fire house until December 15th. This way, even if you cant make it on November 23rd, you will still have the opportunity to donate a toy until December 15th.

We also plan to collect toy donations during the annual Pevely Christmas Parade on November 29 2007. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy with you at the Christmas Parade and we can collect them during the parade route!
If this event is successful, we plan to make it an annual event which will become better each year and is truly a way to help the less fortunate children during the holiday season.
