Dunklin Fire Sponsors Food Drive for Jeffco Rescue Mission
(Post Date 11-14-2007)
In response to the Jefferson County Rescue Mission pleading for donations, the Dunklin Fire District has stepped forward to help out! The Dunklin Fire Protection District is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Jefferson County Rescue Mission.
The Fire District will begin the food drive starting on November 12 2007 and will run for approximately one month. We are asking the community to help out, and give non-perishable food items to restock the depleted shelves at the Rescue Mission. This will help feed the less fortunate during the holiday season.
We ask citizens to bring their donations to the Fire House between 8am-8pm 7 Days a week.
Canned sweet potato’s, marshmallows, cake mixes, pumpkin spices, cranberry sauce, Cool-Whip, and Jell-O are particularly important. Blankets are also helpful during the cold weather periods.
