Dunklin responds to fatal crash on I-55

On Sunday 11-04-2007 at 12:44 p.m. Dunklin Fire Protection District and Joachim Plattin Ambulance District responded to Northbound Interstate 55 near the 182 mile marker for a vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered two pick-up trucks were involved in a head on cross-over crash. One un-restrained driver was ejected from the vehicle and flown by ARCH Air Ambulance to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. One other patient was transported by JPAD Ambulance to a hospital for medical treatment.
Firefighters were on the scene for approximately two hours.
