Dunklin Fire Thanks the Dow Chemical Corporation
(Post Date 11-02-2007)
On behalf of all the Firefighters at the Dunklin Fire Protection District, we would like to thank the Dow Chemical Corporation for allowing us to be their guest.
On Monday October 29 2007, Firefighters were invited to Dow Chemical to take part in a safety and information tour. This is an annual event that Dow Chemical offers for firefighters, and allows us to stay up to date on what Dow Chemical is doing to practice safety.
The tour is an educational experience for firefighters, in that certain topics such as fire suppression, product manufacturing, confined space rescue and other’s are discussed should we be called upon during an emergency at the plant.
The Dunklin Fire Protection District commends Dow Chemical Corporation for taking the pro-active initiative to interact with their fire district. This not only boost’s safety for Firefighters and Dow Chemical but also for our Community.
The tour is brought to a close with an appreciation dinner at the plant.
