Dunklin celebrates tremendous Halloween Turnout!
(Post Date 11-02-2007)
The Firefighters at Dunklin Fire Protection District are calling the 2007 Halloween Night “A complete success!” Our firefighters were able to interact with the citizens of our community both at the firehouse and on the streets.
Firefighters handed out over 1,300 pieces of candy and countless fire safety informational handouts.
We placed a fire truck in the community to interact with our citizens. The fire truck remained “In-Service” ready to respond to any emergency incident. Our firefighters manning this truck were not only able to hand out treats to the small ones, but also answered countless questions from citizens.
Placing a fire truck out in the community allows us to be in the public’s eye, and makes us more approachable. It allows for citizens to ask questions regarding fire safety, burning regulations and district information.
One of our goal’s is to be a fire district that is community orientated, and approachable. Our citizens should know that the Dunklin Fire Protection District is truly their fire district.
Thanks to our citizens for their continued support and we’ll do it all over again next Halloween!
