Dunklin collects over $2,300.00 to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association throughout the Labor Day Weekend.
(Post Date 09-04-2007)
Dunklin Firefighters battled sweltering temperatures in the 90’s with intense sun on both Saturday and Sunday to collect money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The annual event, which firefighters have participated in for years allows motorist to “fill-the-boot” with donations to help children with muscular diseases.
Firefighters worked roughly 8 hours during both days and collected over $2,300.00.
The money will be used by the MDA to help conquer over 40 different types of neuromuscular diseases that affect over a million American’s.
On behalf of the Dunklin Firefighters, we would like to thank all contributors who generously gave money to help “Jerry’s Kids”. It truly is appreciated.
For more information regarding the Muscular Dystrophy Association, or to contribute your part towards fighting neuromuscular diseases you may visit the MDA online at:
