Tools

The Dunklin Fire Protection District has several tools mounted on the fire district apparatus, including "Jaws-of-Life", Air Chizzles, Recipricating Saws, Chain Saws, K-12 and other equipment to assist with rescuing trapped persons or providing forced entry. PROTECTIVE GEAR

The Dunklin Fire Protection District mandates all fire department personnel to wear protective gear during certain emergency incidents. A complete set of protective gear adds approximately 30lbs. of weight to a firefighter. A complete set of protective gear can cost approximately $3,500.00. The Dunklin Fire Protection District utilizes self-contained breathing apparatus manufactured by SCOTT, which usually provides forty-five minutes of fresh air during a fire.
